Our community litter pick planned for tomorrow has been rescheduled. It will now be held on Saturday 6th July - timings as normal, from 10:00–11:15 am. This will be the last litter pick of the school year, and we hope that lots of you will join us. Thank you to all the families who have participated so far; it’s a lovely social event and has made a real difference to our local environment.

Book of the Week
'The Cheat Book' by Ramzee
When Kamal writes a poem about what ‘home’ means to him as a Somalian refugee, his teacher loves it so much that she decides he should read it in an assembly. But unfortunately, this results in a humiliating incident that leads to Kamal being nicknamed ‘Puke Boy’ by the whole school. With his social capital at zero, Kamal finds a mysterious book in the library called ‘The Cheat Book’ that gives him tips and tricks to overcome the obstacles he faces at school. But how far will Kamal go in his quest for popularity? This heartfelt, and hilarious, illustrated book is perfect for fans of ‘The Wimpy Kid’ and ‘Tom Gates’.

Fern Hill PSA presents…Circus Pazaz!
We are excited to announce a new event to welcome everyone back to school in September! Tickets will be available from 8:00 pm TODAY (Friday) to book via this link.
Date: Sunday 22nd September
Location: Big Top on the YMCA Hawker Centre playing field
Time: 3 shows at 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm
Showtime: approx. 55 mins
Tickets: £10 per person. Due to limited capacity, tickets are only available for 2024/5 Fern Hill pupils and their immediate families. Please note that ALL attendees require a ticket, regardless of age.
Doors to the Big Top will open 15 minutes before each show starts. You can arrive up to 30 minutes before a show, but not before (to avoid congestion between shows). Thank you.
We hope to put on a few fun stalls and some refreshments. Circus Pazaz will also be selling some exciting circus-themed merchandise.
You can expect comedy, amazing aerial feats, skilful juggling, high-level hula-hooping and acrobatic tricks...prepare to laugh, gasp, clap and cheer as the performers amaze, impress and entertain you in their little Big Top!
