Year 5 Tessellations

We Are Artists - Year 5 Computing 

Year 5 have been using Inkscape, a vector drawing program to create tessellations. These are repeated patterns of shapes that fit together like tiles or bricks.

We started with simple hexagons.

 

Then we used cloning techniques to create more advanced shapes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally we studied the Op(tical) Art work of artist Bridget Riley and came up with our own eye-puzzling designs. Please see below for more designs.
