Introducing Mr Sinclair
My name is Mr Sinclair. Previously I have worked in a range of SEN schools in the London Boroughs of Sutton and Merton. I am excited to be part of the Fern Hill team as the new Interventions teacher and Assistant SENCO.
Applications to Secondary School
If you have a child in year 6 now, don't forget to apply for a secondary school place by October 31st 2017.
Support us in Waitrose!
You have just over a week left to support our PTA by putting the green tokens you receive after you shop in the Fern Hill PSA collection box in the Kingston branch of Waitrose. Please remind friends and family that we only have until 30th September - thank you.
School Gates
Can we please remind parents and carers to leave the school site as soon as possible after collecting children. The gates need to be locked to secure the site before the children access the playgrounds for school clubs and our after school provision.
Thank you.
Would you like to join our Orchestra?
Since our year 6 players have left Fern Hill we are very low on orchestra members.
We would love to hear from you if your child is interested in joining. We need violinists & pianists who might also play xylophones or percussion, clarinettists, flautists and brass players.
We request that they have been receiving music lessons on their instruments for a minimum of six months. If it sounds like something your child would enjoy, then please can they bring their instruments in to school on Thursday for a try out. Please note we do not need guitarists.
Baby News!
Congratulations to Mrs Brock and family who welcomed baby Amelie into the world on Friday 15th September, 13 days later than expected. Mother & baby are doing very well.

Year 3 - Thames Young Mariners
On Wednesday 13th September Year 3 enjoyed a day of team building activities at Thames Young Mariners. The children showed excellent collaboration, resilience and bravery to tackle the high ropes course and the orienteering challenge. They also learned how to shoot a bow and arrow despite the wind and rain! Well done Year 3.
School Clubs
Payment must now be made for all clubs. This can be done online via ParentMail which lists all the clubs available or by cheque/cash which can be given to the office who will issue a receipt.
Please note that we still have places available in our science club.
Home Grown Produce Sale!
On Wednesday 27th September the Garden Gang will be holding a sale of their recently harvested produce from the school gardens. There will be potatoes, onions, runner beans & black tomatoes for sale. Look our for our table by the KS1 entrance and come and support us.
All money raised will go towards saving for a greenhouse.
