Seaside Trip
Year 2 had a brilliant time on the West Wittering trip on Wednesday. We were very pleased that the weather stayed dry! The children behaved exceptionally all day. We had lots of fun collecting shells and made amazing some sand sculptures on the beach. Thank you to all of the parents that gave up their time to support us and also a special thank you to Mr Pantling for his support too.
France in a Day!
Last week our year 6 classes had an early start for our first ever day trip to France. The children are writing a report on their visit for next weeks newsletter. Watch this space!
Weekly Attendance
Well done to Reception who have achieved the best year group attendance this week.
Congratulations to Poppy class who win the cup this week for 100% attendance!
Voluntary Contributions
Last October we established a School Voluntary fund to supplement our financial resources at a time when government funding to schools is declining in real terms. We were very encouraged by the response and by the end of the school year 2016/17 we had raised £18,884.78, which enabled us to begin a programme of replacing the interactive whiteboards that were coming to the end of their useful life. Thank you so much to all the families that contributed last year. If you are willing to consider make a contribution please read the attached letter from Mr Scott and Nigel Vivian our Chair of Governors for further information.

Thank you to all new Class Reps!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered to be a Class Rep this year. Some of you have been volunteering year after year and it’s much appreciated! Not only are you a vital connection between class teachers and parents, the messages you communicate and the support you drum up are what make our fund raising events such a success. Last year the PSA raised over £22,500 for school and you made this possible. So, thank you in advance – here’s to another great year!
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Thank you so much to everyone who supported our fund raising for Macmillan Cancer Support today. The coffee morning was heaving and we had some amazing cakes to auction with plenty left over for an impromptu cake sale at the end of the day! We’ll let you know how much we raised next week.
