PE Kit Reminder
Please send your children to school with a dark coloured tracksuit for PE during the colder months. PE still takes place outside and it's too cold for the children to be wearing just shorts and t-shirts at this time. Thank you.
Year 6 Charity Support
Today, year 6 all wore hats as part of 'Wear a Hat for Shelter' day. After voting for the charity, they have raised £66.03 which will be used to support the work with the homeless at Christmas.
Well done, Year 6 and thank you for your generous donations!
A request from Year 5
Are you able to provide any empty cardboard rolls/tubes for Monday?
Year 5 require them for a project they are working on. Thank you.

Tissues Please!
If you can donate a box of tissues to school for the 'cold' season we would be very grateful, as our stock is depleting fast. Thank you.

Road Safety Competition
The junior travel ambassadors at Fern Hill, Arjun, Joseph and Scarlett, have designed a competition for the KS1 & KS2 children to enter.
They would like the children to design a poster about road safety, using a footprint available from the board next to the KS2 library. The closing date for the competition is Friday January 12th 2018.
All entries to the JTA box in the library - Good luck!
A Swedish Christmas Assembly
To end the terms focus on the different cultures of our school community, Mrs Haughton gave an assembly on the Swedish, traditional Christmas celebration of St Lucia. With plenty of music, images and artefacts, as well as photos of children in Sweden taking part in this festive event, the children enjoyed seeing how people from the dark, midwinter of northern Europe come together to celebrate the arrival of light in the darkness.
Thank you to Mrs Haughton for sharing her Christmas traditions.
Spring Lunch Orders
The order deadline has now passed for lunch orders in the new Spring term. If you have missed the deadline please remember your child will require a packed lunch for the first week back until your order has been processed.
Story Stork Theatre Trip
Last week lots of fun was had when the Nursery & Reception children visited the Kingston Theatre to watch a performance of the Three Little Christmas Pigs. The traditional story but with a Christmas twist!
