Sharing the Stories of our Community
You have received a letter via ParentMail this week regarding National Storytelling Week.
We would like to invite parents /carers or grandparents to visit their class and either read a story in a language you speak, or tell a traditional story from your culture. You may wish to share some objects from the country, special clothing, or food (no nuts please). This is a special opportunity to chat and share your 'story' with the children in your child's class. We'd love to have you visit on either Thursday 1st Feb in the afternoon or Friday 2nd Feb in the morning. Please complete the form sent home this week or speak to your class teacher if you would to help.
Year 5 School Journey
The 3rd and final payment for the Year 5 School Journey is now due and needs to be made by Friday 9th February please. The letter containing full details is attached for your reference.
Clubs
Gardening club will start after half term, there is lots to do in the secret garden – it is for years 2-6 on a Wednesday after school from 3.30 – 4.30pm.
Children will need to bring suitable clothing to wear for gardening – e.g. wellies if it has been raining.
The cost of the club is £27.50 for the 5 week half term – payment should be made on ParentMail.
If your child would like to join the gardening club please let me know by email - clubs@fernhill.rbksch.org

She has worked with many children and families throuought the school during her time here. She is now retiring to pursue a quieter pace of life beside the sea and to spend more time with her grandchildren. We all wish her well in the next chapter of her life.
