Music Tuition
Kingston Music Service school tuition lessons start next week. Please remember to send your child to school with their instrument on the day of their lesson. Clubs Collection Points
Curriculum Learning Maps for the first half of next term are now available on the website under your child's year group page. Linked to a theme, they cover what your child is learning across all subjects this half term and any activities they will participate in, including trips and workshops.
Also posted on your child's year group page is their Home Learning Grid for the first half of this term.

After School & Lunchtime Clubs
All our after school and lunchtime clubs begin next week, Monday 13th January, with the exception of Gardening club which starts after February half term on Wednesday 26th February. You can view and download the dates for this term here.
Infant & Junior Football, Instrumentastics for Years 1 & 2, Computing, Magpie Makes Art & Sewing and Chess clubs are now full but we may have spaces in some of our other clubs. If you would like a place for your child for next week, please email clubs@fernhill.rbksch.org or telephone the school office on 020 8247 0300.
Please check the Clubs Collection Points sheet for this term, attached below, to find out where to collect your child from when their club ends at 4.30 pm. Don’t forget that if your child will be attending a Tree Tops session after their club, from 4.30 pm, this session MUST be booked on ParentPay three days in advance.
Unfortunately, we do not have enough bookings to run the Netball club this term. Any payments made will be refunded directly to the relevant ParentPay account.

Applications for Reception & Nursery
The closing date for applications for a place in Reception for September 2020 is next Wednesday 15th January. Applications should be made online through the Pan London eAdmissions website. An admissions booklet is available to help guide you through the admissions process and you can download the Primary Schools Admissions Brochure for Kingston borough schools from our website here.
Applications for Nursery are now open and should be made directly to the school by Friday 6th March. An application form for our Nursery is available on our website here and you can also ask for a paper copy at the school office. Further information on Nursery schools in Kingston, including the funding provision and the admissions process, can be found in the Nursery Education in Kingston Schools booklet which is downloadable from the Admissions page on our website.
Our school tours for families who are interested in applying for a place in Nursery have been very popular. We have space on just two dates now: Tuesday 4th February at 9.30 am and Thursday 13th February at 9.30 am. Important date changes!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the PSA has had to move the dates for the KS2 Cinema Night and Quiz Night. Cinema Night will now take place on Friday 7th February and Quiz Night will now take place in the Summer Term on Friday 1st May. Please note these new dates in your diaries.
KS2 Cinema Night on Friday 7th February
We’re excited to announce that the film for this year’s Cinema Night will be School of Rock! Please note this is an event for KS2 children only (Years 3-6) and will take place after school in the Main Hall. This year, we’re having a pyjama party theme, so the children can attend wearing their onesies or PJs if they choose! Tickets for Cinema Night will go on sale online soon and full details about how to book and lots more details about the event will be sent out in next week’s newsletter.
PSA committee meeting on Thursday 16th January
All parents are welcome to our first committee meeting of the Spring Term on Thursday 16th January from 7.30pm in the Small Hall. You don't need to be currently involved with the PSA - please come along and you can find out more about what we do. Everyone welcome!
