COVID-19 Testing
In order for us to monitor illness within class bubbles and to fulfil our COVID-19 contact tracing responsibilities as a school, please let the school office know as soon as possible if your child is being tested for COVID-19 or if you are planning for them to be tested. Please do not wait until you receive the result and please ensure you inform us even if the result is negative.

Last Day of Term
School will close earlier than usual on Wednesday 31st March and collection times will be staggered as follows:
1:25 pm - Year 6 & Year 4
1:30 pm - Year 5 & Reception
1:35 pm - Year 3 & Year 2
1:40 pm - Year 1
There are still a few places left on the Just4Kicks Junior Football club (Year 3 & 4) and the Fern Hill Junior Football club (Year 5 & 6). Please contact us at: clubs@fernhill.rbksch.org if your child would like to join one of these next term. Places with ESG Tennis England for Year 3 & 4 are also still available – please contact ESG directly to book. Unfortunately, Spartans Basketball for Year 6 will not now be running; contact Spartans directly with any queries.
This will be the last Newsletter of the spring term and we would like to wish all our families a very happy Easter! We hope you have a restful break and look forward to the children returning for the summer term on Monday 19th April.
Easter Bonnet Parade
Next week, we'll be celebrating the end of the spring term by making Easter bonnets. Children are very welcome to bring in their own art resources on Monday although there will be plenty in the classrooms for them to use. Sadly, we won't be able to enjoy a whole school parade but Mr Scott will be visiting the bubbles to award two winning bonnets in each class and teachers will be uploading photos to Google Classroom to share the children's fabulous creations with you.
Easter Activities at Fern Hill
We’re delighted that Masquerade Theatre Arts and Mother Nature Science are back with us this coming Easter over the week of 12th April, running COVID-safe holiday activities for all ages.
Masquerade are running two super workshops: Alice in Wonderland for 4 - 6 year olds and a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory adventure for children aged 7 and over, both on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th April. Places are limited with children in COVID-secure groups of 15.
Mother Nature Science are running a fantastic Science Investigators! 4-day expedition into the unknown with science activities, exciting demonstrations, hands-on experiments, team games and fun quizzes. Every day also includes outdoor activity playground breaks. The camp is running from Monday 12th to Thursday 15th April from 9.00 am - 3.30 pm with an extended day option.

School Lunches
Lunches for the first half of the summer term are now available to order online via ParentPay.
The menu is available to view on ParentPay when you place your order.
The deadline for ordering lunches for the first week of the summer term, week commencing 19th April, is slightly shorter than usual to allow for the Easter break. Please place your orders by midnight on Sunday 28th March. The deadline will revert back to normal for the second week back.

Lunches for 26th – 30th April - place your order by midnight Sunday 18th April
