Transition to Secondary School

Applications for September 2025 start

Children born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014 are due to start Year 7 at secondary school in September 2025.

Applications open on Sunday 1 September 2024 and will close on Thursday 31 October 2024.

Use the eAdmissions website from 1st September to apply online for your child’s secondary school place. You must apply through the local authority which is responsible for administering the council tax for your home, even if you intend to name a school located in another area.

All on-time applicants will be sent an email during the evening of 3 March 2025 informing them of the result of their application. You will also be able to view this information by logging in to the eAdmissions website.
